Why do these tools exist?
Most of the tools on this website were originally built for my
own private use, to make various everyday computer tasks
easier and faster.
Over time I've created a lot of small scripts and tools - well over 100. A selection of these, which I think are useful for others too, I gradually polish up, for example by adding a graphical interface.
I then offer these tools here for free download and to try out.
Who is behind Alpha10.de?
I've been into computers, hardware, software, networks, and technology for many years.
Long before social networks like Facebook
even existed.
At some point I turned my hobby into a profession and have been working in IT for over 13 years, currently as an IT System Engineer.
The IT world keeps evolving constantly, and that's exactly what makes it
exciting for me to this day - it never gets boring. I'm still curious,
enjoy experimenting with new technology, and I'm still constantly coming up with
new ideas.
Are the tools free?
Yes. All tools on this website can be used free of charge. However, use is always at your own risk - no liability for damages or data loss!
The projects are provided as free community tools that
can make IT tasks easier for others, or spark interest and enjoyment in experimenting with IT.
Which systems are supported?
All tools were developed for Microsoft Windows 7/10/11.
Most applications are built on PowerShell, WPF, or classic
Windows system functions.
Is AI used to build the tools?
Yes, for individual code snippets or to improve older code. Because it's simply a huge time saver compared to writing everything by hand.
Will AI replace IT jobs? In my opinion, only to a limited extent, because the years of practical experience that matter so much in the details of many professions - along with all the human factors involved - is something AI can't fully capture or replace.
Do I need to install anything, do I need admin rights?
Almost all tools are provided as a single .exe file - no installation required.
Admin rights are optionally needed for a few applications, but not in general.
Are the tools still being developed?
Yes. Existing projects are regularly reviewed, improved,
extended, and modernized.
New tools are added continuously.
